Special Events

Two special tournaments are organized every year. For both events, trophies will be given to the first place winners of the tournaments. There is also a year-end dinner party with afternoon and evening games.

History of the Club

BTU (Bridge Taiwan University) was formed by Professor James C. Wu and his friends in 1951. BTU achieved its glory when it captured the championship of Taiwan regional competition in 1955~56. Famed teams included BTU-A, BTU-B and BTU-C. Through the years, many team members achieved greatness serving the society and their country. After their retirement, many of them came to live in the Bay Area. In 1994, Professor Wu again got together with many of the Taida alumni formed this club. Through the years, the club gradually establishes its reputation. Using the club as a training ground, many members achieve greatness in ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) tournament circle.  Currently, the Club has 8 ACBL Life Masters. There will be a lot more to come in the coming years.
